 | The newly built Asion Lithos Houses are quietly situated above the village of Kato Asites. The elevated location offers a wonderful view of the countryside. Both houses are built of natural stone and offer every comfort for a pleasant stay.

Nisi (2 km) - Near Kato Asites there is an abandoned settlement with traditional houses of architectural interest.
Agios Myron (6 km) - Built between 2 hills you can enjoy panoramic views and some interesting chapels and stone fountains.
Heraklion (20 km) - The capital of Crete and near the ruins at Knossos. The town offers a good choice of clubs, bars and restaurants, plus shops and taverns. |

Nature
Asites area has various geomorphologic and ecologic characteristics.
There are landscapes of admirable natural beauty from the peaks of Psiloritis mountain chain to the northern coasts of the island.
Even though it is not a large place, there are mountains, plateaus, gorges, streams, meadows and dales.
The area has many gorges one of which is the Asites gorge. These gorges are crossed by streams that flow into larger rivers flowing from south to north with densely vegetated banks. The rocky ground does not favor the form of large rivers, so the larger quantity of water follows through underground passages instead.
